Description
Presenting this stunning Italian sideboard with a bar compartment, crafted in the 1950s by Marelli & Colico and so well designed by professor and architect Paolo Maggi.
Its standout feature lies in the three doors adorned with breathtaking inlays crafted and signed by Giuseppe Anzani, the preeminent Italian master inlayer of the era (view their quality in the enclosed video).
Every aspect of this piece showcases meticulous attention to detail, from its intricately carved upper edge frame to its pyramid-shaped legs finished with brass tips and adjustable feet.
The internal compartments are equally refined and detailed.
On the front right side, five drawers with elegant handles are accompanied by open compartments fitted with glass shelves.
Meanwhile, the upper section houses a bar compartment with glass shelves supported by vertical brass spacers, capped with unique flamingo-shaped end stops, and features an internal lighting system that activate upon doors opening.
Additionally, the left side compartment boasts wooden shelves, offering ample storage space.
This sideboard stands as an outstanding example of high-end mid-century Italian design, particularly rare in its original patina and so very good condition of the period as depicted in the photos, poised to become a focal point in any home.
The Sideboard dimensions are:
Length 202 cm
Depth 46 cm
Height 149 cm -
