Description
Elegant Art Deco secretaire, likely of Scandinavian origin, dating to the 1920s. Raised on tall, tapering legs with patinated capitals and brass sabots, the piece features a wide drawer with a finely carved wave-patterned frieze. The upper section includes a central drop-front writing surface adorned with a sculptural carved medallion plaque, flanked by narrow glazed doors with reeded ornamentation. An open top compartment is supported by short ebonized columns. Behind the writing flap, the interior is neatly organized with letter compartments and small drawers. Veneered in cherrywood, restored, and hand-polished.
