This elegant and exquisitely made Art Deco Sideboard in Burled and Bookmatched Amboyna Wood W/ Black Lacquer Detailing and Plinth Base originates from France, Circa 1935. Features a wonderful composition of elegant curves and well proportioned geometric forms which tier and house into one another in stunning fashion to achieve a segmented yet highly cohesive and usable form with unbelievably strong aesthetic and material quality. The surfaces are achieved in a gorgeous bookmatched Ambonya Wood, with beautiful patterning and stunning detail within the natural material. Rests on a curbed plinth base which is delineated from the main body of the piece with black lacquer detailing, also present on the top edge of the Sideboard and on the raised top surface element. The center drawers open to reveal ample storage, as well as two side drawers which are raised slightly casting beautiful shadows. With Brass fittings and keyholes, and original keys that unlock the drawers with smooth and highly usable mechanisms. A breathtaking example of French Art Deco furniture, this piece will style brilliantly in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Art Deco to Contemporary and Eclectic Interiors.
