An elegant Italian bombé commode, circa 1920, crafted in richly figured burl walnut and designed in the graceful Rococo tradition. The softly swelling case, serpentine front, and delicately curved legs give the piece a fluid, sculptural silhouette.
The commode is fitted with three spacious drawers, each accented with finely detailed bronze drawer pulls and escutcheons that complement the warm tone and dramatic movement of the burl walnut. The beautifully figured veneer displays exceptional depth and variation, with swirling grain patterns that animate the surface from every angle.
Recently French polished, the walnut has a beautiful, lustrous finish that enhances the natural richness of the wood while preserving the character and patina appropriate to its age.
A refined and highly decorative chest with excellent proportions, equally suited to a bedroom, entry hall, or sophisticated living space.
