The meticulous craftsmanship and extravagant detailing of Damian Jones’s magnificent capsule shaped Penderyn Bar/Highboy Server is a testament to the artist’s unique vision. The three-tiered cabinet is sheathed in a mix of patterned applications of hand-cut and laid brass and german silver”tiles.” Each tile has been patinated in varied colors and shades creating facets that reflect light in a dynamic arrangement. The top tier features four individual cabinets finished with a subtle incised radial pattern. The second tier of the cabinet is comprised of four mohair velvet-lined drawers. Three generously sized cabinets with adjustable shelving make up the bottom tier. Each tier is separated by a hand carved walnut band that has been dyed and heavily lacquered. The top features an antique silver mirror.
