A C R O T E R I O N is pleased to offer this unusual English regency, circa 1825, George IV period diminutive form bookcase with exquisite warm patina, the top cabinet with molded mahogany cornice crowning chestnut case with two adjustable shelves supported by original pegs behind glazed 'four-light' locking doors retaining original glass atop projecting lower mahogany cabinet with flat-frieze locking centre drawer having neoclassical ringed roundel corner-block ends above flat pilasters either side of double locking paneled doors with exquisite flame veneers enclosing same adjustable double-shelved interior raised on solid platform base. Top cabinet measures 28" wide by 10.75" deep and can unscrewed from lower cabinet for ease of movement.
