French 19th Century Demilune Mahogany Enfilade

Dimensions: 38 ⅞” H x 72 ¾” W x 22” D

This 19th-century French demilune enfilade is crafted from solid mahogany. The top is an impressive single slab of rance marble in a stunning dark red. The stone features grey and white inclusions and presents minimal signs of wear. The edge of the stone is carved to follow the silhouette of the cabinet beneath it. Below the marble is a row of 4 drawers with brass pulls. The front drawers and cabinets are flanked by carved pilasters, which span the height of the piece and are topped with delicate rosettes. The paneled cabinets open to a spacious interior with a single adjustable shelf measuring 40” wide with a max. depth of 17 ¾ inches. The side cabinets also have single adjustable shelves with max. depths of 16” behind their tamboured doors. Each of these shelves has a finished edge of inlaid mahogany. Along the bottom of the cabinets is a sculptural base supported by four tapered mahogany feet. All locks are intact and come with their corresponding keys. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready to use in your interiors. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
