French 19th Century Ebonized & Inlay Petite Bibliotheque

Dimensions: 64 ¼” H x 34 ¾” W x 13 ½” D

This petite, yet stately bibliothèque, was made in France, circa 1870’s. Ebonized and adorned with exceptional brass and mother of pearl inlay, depicting floral-and-foliate scrolls emanating from flower-filled vases, can be found on the frieze and lower door panels. The two glass door panels contain their original panes and have a functioning lock and key. The interior has four finished adjustable shelves, 9 ¾”deep. The cabinet is raised on turned bun feet with bronze accents. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
