French 19th Century Louis Philippe Commode
-
Description
A wonderful 19th century French mahogany Louis Philippe style commode, circa 1830. The original removable marble top in superb antique condition has rounded corners and is shaped to match the base. The marble is gorgeous with dramatic charcoal and gray patterns throughout. Four bookmatched veneer mahogany drawers provide plenty of storage space and are easy to open with a provided key. The apron houses a top drawer with three interior dividers. The following three drawers follow the first’s design of having simple, inset brass escutcheon plates surrounding the keyholes. Cleaned with French wax paste this case piece is ready for immediate use. Make sure to view the detailed images for a closer look at the current condition of this good-looking commode.
