French 19th Century Oak Two-door Buffet

Dimensions: 37 ½” H x 52 ¾” W x 19 ⅛” D

A French oak buffet from the 19th century, its restrained construction highlights the natural qualities of the wood for timeless yet eyecatching storage in any room. Within the frieze sit two large drawers using turned wood knobs seamlessly integrated into the drawer fronts. The keyhole in between them is purely decorative now and does not lock. Below the drawers are two paneled doors enclosing the undivided cabinet, behind a working lock and key. The long interior shelf measures 16 ¼” deep. Gently cleaned, tightened, and polished with a French paste wax to preserve all the historic character, this antique case piece is ready for its next home. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
