French 20th Century Louis XVI Style Enfilade
-
Description
Dimensions: 40 ⅛” H x 98 ½” W x 23” D
A statement piece for a dining room or foyer, this 20th century Louis XVI style enfilade in demilune profile is a dazzling array of luxurious materials illuminating every surface. The white marble top of dense gray veining has been shaped to turreted corners in line with the breakfront of the case, over ebonized, fluted legs. The frieze offers three drawers in the center separated by gleaming brass panels with fluted cuts; the right side drawer has a custom, removable divider for organization. Surprisingly, the curved left and right corners aren’t fixed but fully functioning drawers, opening at a 45 degree angle to the case. In the main body, five distinct storage compartments are enclosed by bookmatched, paneled doors outlined in brass trim of ornate texture, using separate locks and hinged keys that drop down forming ring pulls. Inside, each compartment has an adjustable shelf, 19 ⅜” deep. Ebonized pilasters in between the door fronts transition to turned feet accented with brass elevating the piece from the floor. Cleaned and tightened, this vintage buffet is ready for your interior. Please view the detailed images. -
