Description
Dimensions: 32 ¾” H x 45 ¼” W x 19 ¾” D
A refined Louis XVI style marble-topped fruitwood commode from France, circa 1870, with Neoclassical and transitional details that could suit a wide range of decorating tastes today. The marble slab top surface exhibits fine but dense veining in dark brown over a greige stone, shaped at the front half-round corners. Each of the three drawers are inset with polished brass trim around the paneling and shield escutcheons for the fully functioning locks. One key is present to share between the drawers, which are lined in a crimson velvet as a luxurious and unexpected surprise. Fluted pilasters on the sides transition to tapering legs fitted with brass sabot feet. Cleaned, tightened, and polished with a French paste wax this antique dresser is ready for your interior.
