This elegant Louis XVI style sauteuse chest of drawers was crafted in France circa 1920 and showcases refined neoclassical details in both structure and ornament. Constructed in solid walnut and walnut veneer, the chest features two spacious drawers separated by a central crosspiece, with drawer fronts adorned with brass banding, decorative faux escutcheons, and classic drop handles shaped as lion masks, a nod to 18th-century French symbolism.

The proportions are balanced and graceful, with sharply tapered legs ending in brass sabots. The front legs are fluted, enhancing the architectural symmetry typical of Louis XVI design. Atop the piece sits a beautiful white marble slab, subtly veined and edged with a soft bullnose, offering a clean, luxurious surface ideal for display or daily use. Compact yet commanding, this commode sauteuse brings timeless elegance to bedrooms, foyers, or living rooms, seamlessly blending antique inspiration with early 20th-century craftsmanship.
