George Nakashima, Mid-Century Modern, Sap Walnut, Rare Chest of Drawers or Single Dresser, USA, 1957
Single Rectilinear chest designed by George Nakashima (1905-1990) for Nakashima Studio in 1957. Order Card from Nakashima Foundation dated 8/21/57. Single rectilinear chest with a rectangular top with one blind drawers above three drawers centering recessed rectangular handles, raised on vertical plank form legs. This example comes with an order card dated 8/21/57 from the Nakashima Foundation. A matching double dresser by Nakashima (last photo) is available separately.
