Description
Gianfranco Frattini, Two-Door Rosewood Wardrobe for Bernini, early 1960s.
In typical Frattini style for furniture designed for Bernini, the wardrobe is made of beautiful wood with a warm, dark red hue. It is in excellent condition: there is a large scratch on the left side, as shown in the photos, but it has been carefully restored. Also typical of Frattini's furniture from that period is the wardrobe leg, which is also featured on coffee tables, sideboards, and writing desks. Other beautiful details include the two "handles," actually porthole-shaped recesses, in the center of the doors, and the interlocking door locking system. Inside, there are two additional shelves, in addition to those shown in the photos, which, however, we have not installed.
The Bernini brand is visible inside on a silver adhesive label. -
