Description
Gio Ponti Bar, 50s
One of our most prized pieces in the collection: this Dry Bar Set attributed to Gio Ponti is an original piece from the 1950s Italian design, in pure MidCentury style.
Exceptional Italian bar set from the 1950s in cream-coloured lacquered cherry wood and original gold-plated brass finishes.
This is a set consisting of the original curved bar cabinet lacquered in off white or bone colour; a luxurious and exclusive material, recently restored in high gloss in impeccable condition. It is divided into three bodies or drawers decorated with original Italian landscape engravings inspired by Canaletto, gilded brass legs and a highly resistant curved upper mirror. The interior is divided into different shelves and drawers.
The wall cabinet is slim and narrow, perfect for displaying your collection of bottles, glasses and accessories. It includes two restored original stools. This bar is so clean, elegant and timeless that it could effortlessly fit into any mid-century modern, traditional, regency or modern setting.
