Description
Polychrome Italian Bureau Bookcase from the 19th century
Italian Bureau Bookcase, gilded and polychrome with floral motifs.
Hand painted in pastel tones in a Provencal style. The finishes are gold-plated and it features bronze handles and keys. It is made up of two pieces: a folding desk and a bookcase with shelves and two glass doors. The lower part of the desk offers a work surface as well as compartmentalised storage space inside, which can be locked, just like the doors of the bookcase. Under this folding desk there are three drawers with bronze handles. The upper part, painted in a soft pastel blue, has four shelves.
Finished with beading and gold moldings, it is the perfect piece to add sophistication to any dining room or living room.
