Italian 19th Century Walnut Buffet with Three Drawers over Two Molded Doors
-
Description
An Italian walnut buffet from the 19th century, with three drawers, a pair of molded doors and delicately carved front feet. Created in Italy during the 19th century, this walnut buffet features a simple rectangular top sitting above two drawers each fitted with a brass pull, surrounding a smaller one that opens with a key. Two doors below, adorned with molded panels, open to reveal inner shelves offering convenient storage opportunities. The sides are made of recessed panels divided into two sections while the back is, as expected, simply planked. The ensemble is raised on four feet, with delicately carved accents in the front. With its clean lines and walnut patina, this Italian buffet from the 19th century will bring a touch of simple elegance to any home, particularly placed in a living room or dining room, perhaps anchored with a pair of candlesticks surrounding a mirror hung on the wall.
