Italian diamond shaped bar cabinet, 1940s

This 1940s Italian bar cabinet feels like something discovered in a beautiful old apartment, the kind where evenings are slow, music is soft, and the ritual of preparing a drink has its own quiet elegance.

The front is an intricate mosaic of diamond-pattern marquetry, each facet catching the light differently as you walk around it. It’s a piece with confidence, not loud or showy, but grounded in craftsmanship. The brass handles are small sculptures in their own right-slender, tactile, slightly playful.

Inside, the cabinet reveals two distinct atmospheres. On the left, a mirrored bar compartment with its original curved glass shelf, giving reflections that feel theatrical and nostalgic. On the right, a storage space lined with charming vintage paper—ideal for bottles, glassware, or private rituals. The sculpted legs lift the piece just enough to give it a sense of movement, as if it were designed to be seen as much as to serve.

The cabinet is in very good overall condition. It has been professionally restored in our in-house workshop, preserving its original geometry, veneer, and patina while ensuring structural integrity and long-term stability. The mirrors and interior glass shelf are original and display a gentle patina consistent with age, enhancing the character of the piece.
