Italian handcrafted sideboard of the 1960s

$ 15,000
  • Description
    A beautiful Italian-made sideboard from the 1960s. Although we were unable to determine a possible attribution, we were fascinated by some beautiful details: the front, for example, features a play of asymmetries: from left to right, the wide drawers, followed by two woven straw-covered doors, in turn separated by a row of narrow drawers, lend the piece a strong dynamism.
    The drawer handles are a notable detail, due to their masterful craftsmanship. The legs feature an interesting brass detail, although not easily noticeable at first glance. The construction of the piece demonstrates a wealth of small details, rarely found in other furniture from the same period. Inside the doors, the storage space is organized with two non-adjustable shelves, which, however, can be removed if necessary.
    Finally, the warm wood finish makes it a piece of great elegance.
