Mies van der Rohe Cabinet from The Promontory Apartments, Chicago, 1950
Provenance: 5530 South Shore Drive, Hyde Park, Chicago
Rare cabinet designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for The Promontory Apartments—his first high-rise project in the United States. This cabinet originates from one of the building’s units overlooking Burnham Park.
