Description
This sculptural cabinet was designed by Mario Ceroli and executed in solid pinewood, a material he favored for its warmth, expressiveness, and direct connection to artisanal tradition. The façade is composed of a rhythmic sequence of carved, curved vertical elements, creating a strong relief effect that plays with light and shadow and gives the piece a distinctly architectural presence. The bold, graphic front contrasts with the clean, rectilinear structure of the case, reflecting Ceroli’s interest in form, repetition, and sculptural volume. The cabinet opens to generous interior storage, making it as functional as it is visually impactful. The natural patina and visible grain emphasize the honesty of the material and the hand-crafted character of the work. A powerful example of Italian design from the 1970s, ideal as a credenza, bar cabinet, or statement storage piece. Good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
