Description
At first sight this 1970s Mastercraft chest of drawers is going to immediately grab your attention. Lots of details for the eye to wonder. Golden patinated brass accents and hardware glow atop its black lacquered finish. Brass front and side wainscoting flows elegantly like a golden signature. Ornate brass buckle key lock medallions reminiscent of Billy Haines chests and pieces are bold. Italian golden shell motifs soften the chest's congruent shapes with an organic reference. Striking 007 vibes. Our shop sees this design as Mastercraft's interpretation of the Dorothy Draper Espana Chest. Both pieces have front details similar in shape, color, and finish set over dark brown black backgrounds. Both pieces inspire that sense of upper crust furniture fashion that's timelessly sexy. Only one of its kind our shop has seen in a decade.
