CHIPPENDALE TALL CASE CLOCK

Case Attributed to Matthew Edgerton, New Brunswick, New Jersey

Secondary Woods: Tulip Poplar, White Pine
Height: 93 ¾ inches
Width: 21 ½ inches
Depth: 10 inches
Reference: This clock was exhibited at the New Jersey State Museum from May 20 – September 24, 1972 and pictured in the catalog “Festival ‘72’” pages 4-5.
The case closely relates to two labeled Egerton cases pictured in American Furniture from Israel Sack Collection, Vol. III, pages 642 and 3, (Brokaw movement) and The Antiquarian, December 1930, page 53.
