Description
Pair of teak bedside tables with drawer beneath the top and sculpted legs, Italian manufacture, 1950s.
Compact and versatile, this pair of Italian bedside tables from the 1950s is distinguished by the unusual shape of its legs. The four supports of the top are finely carved, with tapered surfaces that become the true protagonists of the design, engaging in dialogue with the sharp, geometric lines of the tabletop. To bridge these two seemingly contrasting aesthetics, the designer placed the drawer in an asymmetrical position. The combination of sculpted legs, geometric top, and offset drawer results in a design that is dynamic, intriguing, and unconventional.
Crafted in teak wood, the bedside tables have undergone professional restoration, which enhances both their natural warmth and refined craftsmanship.
