Description
A fine example of a Mid-Century rosewood secretary by Italian designer, Paola Buffa (1903-1970) and brass intarsia inlay by artist Giovanni Gariboldi (1908-1971).
The upper case with a brass inlaid broken pediment over a pair of glass inset doors, each centered by a brass inlaid star.
The lower section with a fall front inlaid with a brass crest opening to reveal a satinwood fitted interior framed by ebony string inlay. The whole over a pair of reeded doors, opening to a shelved interior. All raised on brass tipped feet.
