Giovanni Gariboldi

Giovanni Gariboldi (1908-1971) was an Italian sculptor and painter. He was born in Milan, Italy, and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brera. Gariboldi worked primarily in bronze and stone, and his style was characterized by strong lines and geometric shapes. His sculptures often depicted the human form in abstract or cubist forms. He was a prominent artist in post-war Italy and his works are held in several major collections, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice.
