Designed in the late 1960s by Poul Cadovius, this 2nd generation wall unit was produced by Cado during the same time period. Cado as a company was founded when Poul began selling his systems in the USA, and was likely both a rebrand and an expansion of his Danish company, Royal System. Our unit features rosewood wall panels, customary of a Cado-manufactured unit, and solid rosewood wall brackets. Royal System units had its shelves supported by brass rods. In total, inclding wall panels, cabinets, shelves, and brackets, our unit has 20 pieces. This includes an uncommon desk unit, record holder cabinet, display stand, and internally lit bar cabinet, making this set extremely versatile and perfect for any location. The shelves and cabinets are, of course, modular and able to be moved around, though we believe this is the best configuration for most settings.

In very good vintage and original condition. Some fading, some wear, but overall very well taken care of. The rosewood grain remains rich, saturated, and ever-dynamic. If you like, our in-house team can fully refinish parts of or the entire unit, though the cost will be commensurate. All drawers, doors, and shelves work smoothly. All hardware necessary to install in your home is inclided, even the rosewood strips along the top and bottom of the unit.
