Monumental wall-hung cabinet custom designed by architects Ron Krueck and Mark Sexton for the Stone Residence in Chicago, 1986.
Measuring nearly 18 feet in length, the cabinet is composed of three sections beneath a quartz top. Each of the two flanking sections features three doors concealing four drawers, while the center section features five doors concealing six drawers. Wall cleats are included for installation.
Condition: General wear exists throughout consistent with age and use. Assorted abrasions, scattered scratches, and a few small losses of finish exist throughout the lacquered doors. One door has an isolated area of craquelure. A few chips along its quartz edges. Interior connection with another hinge has stripped holes into the wood on the interior of the cabinet. Holes will need to be restored in order to attach the hinge. Seam between middle and right section does not align flush creating a slight variation in height between the two sections. Wall cleats are included.
