Russian Neoclassical, Graduating Commode, Crotch Mahogany, Bronze, Baltic States, 1860s

A gorgeous Rare and Importnant Russian Neoclassical style cabinet designed and produced in the Baltic States in the early half of the 19th century. This example features three graduating drawers having a cratch mahogany veneered front and Neoclassical style bronze drawer pulls. The work features a stepped mahogany top with bronze mounts; the front two corners have reeded bronze details leading to the tapered wood legs. The cabinet presents overall well with some cracking to the wood on the top and both sides.
