Description
Silvio Cavatorta 1955 circa, is the first in Rome to speak is the first to speak of the new direction of furniture design, introduces the new style,
generally defined as "Swedish".
Beautiful Multi-use wall cabinet in teak attributed to Silvio Cavatorta. The cabinet is equipped with carved
trellis legs and a paneled back that supports various cabinets. It has a drop-down door with "grissinato" design, 6 drawers with carved handles, three doors with recessed portal windows,
above four large doors with refined " grissinato" design.
Very good original conditions, ready to use.
Silvio Cavatorta was a renowned Italian designer and entrepreneur, active mainly in the field of furniture and furnishing
objects design during the 20th century. Born in Cantù, in the province of Como, in 1887 and died in 1960, Cavatorta has
left an indelible mark on the panorama of Italian design.
Cavatorta founded his company in 1901 in Cantù, a town known for its tradition in woodworking and the
production of high-quality furniture. The Cavatorta company soon became one of the most renowned in the sector,
thanks to its ability to combine traditional craftsmanship and stylistic innovation. Cavatorta's creations are
characterized by their elegant and refined style, which often blends classic elements with modern and innovative lines.
Among his most famous pieces of furniture are the wardrobes, sideboards and bedside tables characterized by impeccable craftsmanship
and the use of high-quality materials. His company became a point of reference in the Italian design sector and
collaborated with many famous designers, contributing to the spread of Italian style throughout the world.
Silvio Cavatorta’s legacy in furniture design is still celebrated today and his creations are sought after by collectors and furniture design enthusiasts around the world. -
