Swedish 19th Century Chest of Drawers, c.1840

A refined Swedish chest of drawers from circa 1840, distinguished by its elegant simplicity and beautifully carved diamond motifs that stretch across each drawer front. The restrained geometry is characteristic of Swedish neoclassical furniture of the period, lending the piece a quiet architectural sophistication.

Finished in a deep charcoal-black paint with softly worn edges, the surface reveals a rich natural patina developed over nearly two centuries of use.
