A Swedish Gustavian period three-drawer chest from the late 18th century, defined by its clean architectural structure and refined neoclassical detailing. The rectangular top is crowned with a crisp dentil molding frieze, a classic motif that adds rhythm and subtle ornamentation while maintaining the restrained elegance characteristic of the Gustavian style.

Raised on tapered legs, the chest presents a light and balanced silhouette. The painted surface has developed a beautifully worn patina over time, with soft, muted tones and areas of natural distress revealing underlying layers and warm wood undertones. This authentic wear enhances the depth and character of the piece without detracting from its refined presence.
