Description
An exceptional 18th-century Italian Fratino table, handcrafted in solid walnut with beautifully aged patina and distinctive architectural presence. This elegant piece exemplifies the Italian Baroque tradition, featuring a thick rectangular top with molded edges and richly shaped trestle legs joined by a bold, sinuous stretcher.
The scrolled silhouette of the base, paired with the table’s sturdy proportions, creates a harmonious balance between sculptural artistry and functional strength. The warm, lustrous walnut showcases a stunning natural grain, enhanced by centuries of use and careful preservation.
With its enduring construction and timeless style, this Fratino table is as practical today as it was in the 1700s—perfect for use as a dining table, writing desk, or striking entry piece. Its historical charm and distinctive profile make it a captivating centerpiece for both traditional and modern interiors. A rare and soulful example of antique Italian craftsmanship that combines noble elegance with rustic authenticity.
This is an antique and having been around for a long time, it will show signs of wear. Antique pieces have very much sought-after character and associated flaws. Please review photos for condition & contact us with questions! -
