19th Century Biedermeier Table Top Vanity Table With Drawer, Austria ca. 1850
-
Description
Charming 19th century table top Biedermeier vanity table with drawer from the so-called "second" period in Austria around 1850. This lovely Biedermeier vanity mirror has been veneered in fine nut wood/ burl, additionally adorned by delicate maple threads on the table´s top and elaborately worked edges (see picture #13). The surface shows an older beautiful patinated, hand-polished shellac finish. The mirror with a size of 12.8" x 18.5", floats between two artfully carved columns and can be vertically adjusted with two screws to every required angle. A small drawer, still holding the original, fully functional lock with key, offers additional space for your jewelry or smaller items. A truly exceptional example of a mid 19th century Biedermeier vanity table.
