A 19th-century French Empire-style writing desk featuring figured burl and crotch mahogany veneers, an inset gold-tooled leather writing surface, and carved paw feet.

The frieze houses three pull-out drawers constructed with hand-cut dovetail joinery and light-toned figured drawer fronts, each adorned with ornate cast-brass swans.

Comes with original brass keys and functional locks. Wear is consistent with age and use.

Currently on display and available for purchase in our NYC showroom.
