Description
A ‘VIRTUOSO’ CARVED, PIERCED AND FRETWORK GEORGE II CUBAN MAHOGANY SIDE TABLE OF PREDOMINANTLY GOTHIC TASTE
The old but replaced rectangular veined 'Occhio di roseo dall Algeria' marble top above a pierced carved frieze in the form of trefoil double lancet windows, pointed arches, lattice pattern, and scrolled fretwork. The whole raised on four cabriole legs with open double lancet window carving to the knees above a fish scale pattern and terminating in a ball and claw foot.
