Pair of French Hammered Wrought Iron Side Tables in style of Diego Giacometti
-
Description
Exquisite and exotic pair of French Hand Hammered Wrought Iron Side Tables in the style of Alberto and Diego Giacometti. The pieces reflect both modern craftsman and ancient Etruscan sensibilities, yet maintain a delicate composure and strong unique qualities. Each piece is deeply hammered allowing the forceful beauty of the bronzed iron to prevail. The legs are set in a tripod form, yet each is shaped and carved slightly different than the other. The tops are not intended to match, rather to compliment each other. One is square; the other is oval, thus creating a dynamic poetry of forms. However, it is possible to purchase them individually. The pieces reference the work of the Giacometti's in their bold, hand made styling and their references to Etruscan art and sculpture but they remain wholly unique works of art. Custom pieces and sizes are available. The table with square top is H: 23.5 x 10.25 x 10.25.
