Description
2 Elegant French Mid-Century Modern Neoclassical Style Solid Bronze Benches or Side / End Tables in the style of Alberto and Diego Giacometti. Priced and Sold as Individual Pieces.
The benches / tables are composed in an iconic Curile X-form characteristic of the Giacometti's who drew their inspiration from ancient cultures such as the pre-Roman Etruscan civilization. They are unique in their deeply worked iron revealing each hammer mark and their incredible, round, symbolic decorative iron forms attached to the center and ends of the stretcher. The pieces can be used as end tables and become benches if one lifts out the stone removed and drops seat of leather or fabric into them. Custom pieces are possible. Variations in size and patina are possible. See the last photos for gilt finish. Each bench is priced and sold individually.
Estimated Production Time: 23-24 weeks -

Message from Seller:
T. Thomas Gargiulo came from a dual background as a Ph.D. in Psychology with extensive training in Art History and Anthropology to form Thomas Gallery in downtown Manhattan in 1997 to balance intellectual with design pursuits. Since its inception the gallery has seen decorative arts as a vibrant representation of human culture of each age and as a portal to understanding it. P: 917.434.4032 E: thomasgalleryltd@gmail.com
