A beautiful and functional service bar cart by Italian designer Aldo Tura (1909-1963) circa 1950-60s. The glamorous design embodies the jetsetter's lifestyle of the mid-20th century when the luxury lies in the exotic material and craftmanship. The two-tier cart on three brass wheels features curvy handle that gracefully extend to the sides. The surface is covered with lacquered goatskin and highlighted with bronze medallion and ball hardware. With the passing time, the piece has developed an attractive mellow patina.
Aldo Tura was an Italian furniture designer and craftsman. Starting in the 1930s, he established his signature look of his work by using unique materials such as. lacquered goatskin and brass inlays, which demands complex and labor-intensive work.
