Description
Two tier Model 915 side table in Karelian Birch. Designed by Alvar Aalto for Huonekalu-ja Rakennustyötehdas Oy Turku, Finland, 1930s. Imported by Finmar. Stamped underneath with the Alvar Aalto logo, the Finmar logo which was designed by Herbert Bayer and also the Finmar badge. Excellent vintage condition. This piece was originally bought by Bristol architect Ralph Brentnall in the 1930s from prominent Bristol-based furniture manufacturer and retailer, PE Gane. Provenance: family collection.
