An Exceptionally Rare Table, The Top Inlaid With Finely Worked And Polished Equine Teeth, Raised On A Well Drawn Regency Mahogany Base
The rectangular top with chamfered corners inlaid with equine teeth and infill of geometric pattern, within a conforming brass Greek key border. The plain frieze with carved leaf decoration at the four corners. The whole raised on a turned baluster stem with lotus leaf carving resting on a gadrooned collar, the quatreform plinth raised on four downswept feet each applied with carved leaf decoration to the top and terminating in a brass leonine capped foot on castors. Minor restorations.
