Extendable Round Dining Table in Rosewood by Arne Vodder, Denmark 1950s
-
Description
Extendable Danish dining table by Arne Vodder for Sibast in rosewood from the 1950s. We can call this a classic from the mid-century design period. Circular in the smallest shape or a larger oval shape in its largest form. Modest and versatile object in your interior.
This dining table can be extended by means of two table leaves, each fifty centimeters wide. Together they provide for a nice large table if desired so. A striking detail is the fold-out partitions that are attached to the leaves. When you have extended the table, this is barely visible because the bottom of the top continues into each other. The top has an elegant dark glow with gracefully mirrored rosewood veneer. The legs taper from the floor to the top and have a beautiful drawing in the wood.
This table has been fully restored and is in beautiful condition. The dimensions mentioned are applicable when the table is fully extended.
It has the recognizable 'sibast' key underneath the table. -
