Primary Wood: Mahogany
Secondary Woods: Maple, Pine
Reference: Bears the label of Benjamin Frothingham (1734-1809) on the underside of the fixed leaf of the top. This label is his second and has “FROTHINGHAM” across the top rather than along the bottom as his earlier one did. See Sotheby's October 24-25, 1986 Catalog of Important American Furniture…, Lot 237A for a detailed image of his second label. -
