Brutalist coffee table dating to the mid-20th century, constructed in solid oak with a square top assembled from substantial individual timber sections. Four heavy block-shaped legs are positioned around the perimeter and connect visibly with the outer sections of the tabletop. Rather than concealing its construction, the table makes these connections an integral part of the design, giving a particularly robust and architectural character.

The oak retains pronounced grain, knots, cracks and tonal variations throughout, emphasizing the individual character of the timbers from which the table was constructed. Its warm surface and traces of age soften the otherwise rigorous geometry, while the substantial proportions and direct construction give the piece its distinctly Brutalist quality. All our rustic furniture has undergone a two-cycle preventive woodworm treatment for long-term care.
