Description
This pair of Art Deco Machine Age side tables, crafted in circa 1935, captures the sleek, geometric essence of the Machine Age while showcasing the fine craftsmanship of American Art Deco design. Designed by Donald Deskey, one of the most notable Art Deco designers famous for Radio City Music Hall and some of the most remarkable and memorable public designs from the 20th Century.
The tables feature stunning bookmatched walnut, creating a symmetrical, visually intriguing grain pattern that emphasizes the quality and elegance of the wood. The rich tones of the walnut are highlighted by black lacquer detailing, providing a striking contrast and further underlining the bold design aesthetic of the era. The inclusion of cylindrical chrome supports adds a modern, industrial edge, embodying the Machine Age's fascination with metal and clean lines.
These side tables exemplify the fusion of modernity and luxury that defined Art Deco furniture. Their timeless design makes them perfect as functional and stylish pieces for bedrooms, living rooms, or offices while adding authentic 1930s flair to any interior. A superb find for collectors or admirers of Machine Age design. In Mint Restored Condition.
