Description
An exceptionally fine circa 1780 English George III period kettle stand or occasional table of deep rectangular 'faux' double-sided form and solid mahogany and veneered construction, the square-edged top having inlaid borders of gonçalo alves and boxwood above case with long drawer one end and false drawer the other, both with same border inlays and original brasses, upon upper 'Chinese Chippendale' fretwork bracketed tapering splayed legs joined at center by an x-form stretcher.
