Description
An oak side table with single frieze drawer fitted with original brass drop handles and star-form escutcheon. The table stands on four turned and spiral-carved barley twist legs united by box stretchers of matching carved work. The top with rich patina consistent with age and use; frieze drawer with working lock and key. The construction and carved detailing are consistent with early Georgian period furniture. George I Period, circa 1720
