Description
Treating color as a material, Deltour’s side tables are based on the idea of turning a two-dimensional picture into a three-dimensional object. The use of different tones and shades creates a hyper-real, hand-drawn cube.
Hidden in the plywood structure is a drawer with a soft-open mechanism, disguised by the blocks exterior color panels. Available in three sizes, the design is highly versatile and can add playfulness and a compact graphic character to a wide range of interior environments, from the home to the office.
“Colours often come way too late in the development of a design,” said Pauline Deltour. “For once I wanted to invert the process.”
