Description
A remarkable one-of-a-kind Scandinavian modern banquet table featuring an elongated hexagonal top crafted from continuous, matched teak panels raised on tapered oak legs with exposed joinery and teak-capped details. The table seats twelve guests.
Custom-made for the private banquet hall of Axel Brandt, founder and proprietor of Axel Brandt Glas & Porcelæn in Odense, Denmark—one of the city’s foremost purveyors of porcelain and glassware. This table stands as both an outstanding example of Danish modern design and a tangible artifact of Odense’s cultural and commercial history—a piece that unites craftsmanship, design, and the legacy of a distinguished Scandinavian merchant family.
